Well, I've now been here in the Israel for about a month and a half, and I've done lots of stuff. So here are some highlights:

Fun pics around J'lem and other places:

First, this is the view from my bedroom at dawn....

My favorite restaurant in J'lem, despite never having eaten there...

The coolest cafe in Ramallah....

My friend Jacob and I at the end of Hezekiah's Tunnel....

At the Shrine of the Book....

Me celebrating my birthday at a local Chinese restaurant, one of the only restaurants open because it was Shabbat. Complete with sparkler, hat with queue, and stirring rendition of Happy Birthday (Asian style)...

And finally, this is me acting the part of a sectarian and throwing a rock at the Siege Ramp built by the Romans at Masada. Please note how long it takes for the rock to hit the ground...that's what was so funny :P If you didn't think that it was cool/funny, apparently, you need to have more empathy for the victims of Roman imperialist tendencies...

cheerio!

Hey, I loved the pictures and was so glad to hear you laughing and having fun. Have a great experience over there and get even smarter!! I'm so glad you are posting pictures this time, it really does help those of us back here who have never been and have no idea what you're doing or where you're going. Be good and safe!!

i love the birthday celebration! and maybe you could describe a bit more of the significance of some of these places (besides the cafe!) for those of us who don't know - yes that would be me...
