Well, I've now been here in the Israel for about a month and a half, and I've done lots of stuff. So here are some highlights:

Me celebrating my birthday at a local Chinese restaurant, one of the only restaurants open because it was Shabbat. Complete with sparkler, hat with queue, and stirring rendition of Happy Birthday (Asian style)...






And finally, this is me acting the part of a sectarian and throwing a rock at the Siege Ramp built by the Romans at Masada. Please note how long it takes for the rock to hit the ground...that's what was so funny :P If you didn't think that it was cool/funny, apparently, you need to have more empathy for the victims of Roman imperialist tendencies...

Al-Fatihah

Well, I'm off for another adventure in the Middle East. My last adventure here was a success, but the blog I started to cover it wasn't... so, instead of making this a travel log or a journal or anything such as that, it will just be a place where I can post pictures (maybe with a little commentary on the contents or a sarcastic phrase or two) of my adventures so all y'all back at the ranch can take a look and know that I'm not dead (yet).

Hope they are enjoyable. If there are questions, concerns or random comments, please add them as you so desire, but just remember: I do still live in the Middle East and Big Brother is always watching, so try not to make them overtly serious or full of references to anything that could get me arrested (unless you really want some pictures of the inside of an Israeli prison, but they would probably confiscate my camera...)
